IKEA has launched a campaign "Hey, wake up! It's time for a good sleep" and invites to walk along the sensory path in the Palace of Culture and Science
In the heart of the city, in Warsaw's Palace of Culture and Science, the IKEA Sensory Path has been created, which inspiringly combines a modern approach to experiential marketing with education on improving sleep quality. Krystyna Czubówna was invited to collaborate, who, with her unique voice, talks about the secrets of good sleep.
The IKEA sensory path is an innovative initiative within brand experience activities, focusing on popularizing key factors influencing healthy sleep. By passing through six independent zones, one can learn about the impact of temperature, clean air, light, sound, comfort, and an organized environment on sleep. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in a world of scents, sounds, and textures that will help awaken the senses, inspire, and create their own solutions for a good night’s sleep. The event, narrated by Krystyna Czubówna, combines storytelling with a multisensory experience, creating a unique space for interaction with the brand.
“We were looking for a solution to emphasize the importance of good sleep in an engaging and unique way. Thus, the IKEA sensory path was created, which offers experiences different from the inspiring displays in our stores. Here, we can focus more on feelings and sensations to realize what we should pay attention to in order to wake up feeling more rested.”
– Katarzyna Piwowarczyk, Marketing Director of IKEA Retail in Poland
The IKEA sensory path will be available from September 16 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on September 17-18 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Entrance to PKiN from Marszałkowska Street, main hall, Korczak Room.
To fully immerse yourself in this experience, it is worth bringing headphones and being able - after scanning the QR code with a smartphone - to freely listen to the story about the factors that can help us improve the quality of sleep and daily life. The organizers ensured full accessibility of the event, including facilities for people with disabilities and educational materials in English. The event is free and open to all interested.
The Good Sleep Planning service for 1 złIn addition to the mentioned IKEA sensory path, visitors to PKiN will be helped by the brand to create their dream place to relax and regain daily joy of sleep. Designers from IKEA will be available on-site, ready to assist in selecting products and solutions that will ensure ideal conditions for healthy sleep at home. The service will be available for a symbolic złoty, and registrations can be made via the form on IKEA.pl/event.
Hey wake up! Time for good sleep!
With their latest campaign, IKEA is awakening the inhabitants of Poland to take action for good sleep.
“We know from research how significant a problem good sleep is for all of us. Especially now, in times of the so-called poly-crisis, we are sleeping worse and worse. While IKEA may not solve all our problems, we can certainly help where it concerns providing conditions for good sleep. Inspiritingly, we will talk about 6 factors of good sleep. We want to restore people's joy of sleeping. We emphasize in communication that sleep is not only rest but also health, energy, pleasure, emotions, and equally active time as during the day. When we sleep, so much good happens! We regenerate, dream, and make plans for the future. Good sleep is the best way for another good day.”
- adds Katarzyna Piwowarczyk.
The campaign includes activities across multiple channels. In an emotional TV spot, the company presents various life situations and needs. It highlights the importance of sleep not only in the context of dreams but also the energy needed for the next day. Because each of us is different, sleeps differently, and has different needs, we will find answers for each of them in appropriately matched assortments. Communication to consumers also includes actions online, focusing on the diverse range of products that help sleep well.
Additionally, non-standard marketing activities will appear in September, in selected cinemas across the country, in the form of spatial installations depicting key factors of good sleep. A series of 12 podcasts on YouTube and Spotify: “Fika z IKEA”, meaning lifestyle discussions over coffee and cake about home and sleep, has already begun. More will be available to listen to every other Tuesday of the month. It’s worth mentioning that they are recorded by IKEA employees. On YouTube, we will continue answering questions about good sleep, utilizing the knowledge of our staff from the stores.
