Can ChatGPT replace copywriters?

The work of a copywriter generally involves creating content, most often written. Currently, there are many content generators based on artificial intelligence that, when given guidelines, can create such content. Therefore, a legitimate question arises and concerns whether such generators can replace a copywriter? Will copywriters soon lose their jobs? One such content generator is ChatGPT.

What is ChatGPT?

It is an intelligent application that can do many things, one of which is generating content. It operates on the principle of chat. The user types in what they expect, and if the application can, it does it. You can request, among other things, the writing of articles with H headings and other guidelines. If the user is not satisfied with something, they write another message asking for a revision. It is a very useful application. However, it still has a lot to learn.

Can ChatGPT replace copywriters?

Looking at the content it creates, one could say that it can replace them, but only the weak ones, those who write content for backends and the increasingly rare press releases. However, it cannot replace good copywriters who can write, for example, effective sales copy. It also has its limitations. It pulls content from the internet but does not verify its accuracy, and not all sentences are logical and correct. The text definitely needs to be read and often corrected. Weaker copywriters, who merely supplement their income and do not develop, will be replaced because it will handle poor-quality content very well, while for better copywriters, it will currently be a useful tool for work. In the near future, they will not be replaced, but it is not excluded in a slightly longer-term future; everything depends on the development of content generators.

Online content is becoming increasingly necessary, as many companies and stores conduct their business online, and written content will always be needed; the only question is who will create it—machines or humans? In the near future, it will definitely be humans, but what will happen in 10, 20, or 30 years?
